Cesar Tárrega's most heartfelt goal
The player from Aldaia dedicated his goal to the victims of the flash floods with the slogan ‘Tots Junts Eixirem’ (We'll all pull through it together).
The afternoon of 23 November 2024 will always be remembered as a tremendously emotional day in the thoughts and hearts of all Valencianistas. Mestalla paid a heartfelt tribute to the victims and people affected by the tragic flash floods that hit many towns in the Valencia CF region.
After some tremendously emotional pre-match actions, the referee kicked off the game and after just 7 minutes, Valencia CF opened the scoring for the first time. As fate would have it, it was César Tárrega, one of the most emotional players in the build-up to the game, as he was one of the people affected by the flash floods and his town - Aldaia - was one of the worst affected by the terrible flash floods. The Valencia defender caught the ball near the six-yard box and poked it into the back of the net (1-0).
At that moment, Mestalla roared and Tárrega celebrated the goal by holding up a shirt with the slogan ‘Tots Junts Eixirem’.
A goal dedicated to the whole of Valencian society, which has been exemplary from the outset.Undoubtedly, one of the images of the match and the season.
A moment that represents the hope of a people who never give up and who, in the face of adversity, always get up. Units Com Sempre. (United As Always).
Valencia CF ended the match with a great victory and closing, in the best possible way, an unforgettable afternoon for all the feelings experienced.
